Grieving for a Hero: AfterTalk Pandemic Weekly

Editors Note: As we pass the first “anniversary” of the January 6th riot, we want to again recognize the murder of officer Brian D. Sicknick. Here’s what we said last year and an update:  “We have three pandemics sweeping the world: COVID-19, Climate Change, and Hatred. Last week [YEAR] the third of those took the like of a courageous police officer. We honor him today with a video by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger commenting on one of the three worst days in the last 100 years. Oh, and by the way, the 7-day average for COVID deaths in the US was at 3,249” on this day then. It is now down to 1,180 as of January 1, 2022; however non-lethal new cases are surging. The 2.49 million COVID-19 cases within the past week outpaced the previous record of 1.7 million cases from Jan. 3-9, 2021 So please, be safe.
