There are angels all around
Patti was the best example
Of this that can be found
Angels aren’t just in heaven
They surround us every day
Patti was a fine example
Helping children find their way
Each child deserves
A helping hand
A place to be nurtured
By someone who understands
Every child’s a winner
They laugh, learn and play
Every child’s a winner
If we show them the way
Each child is different
Every person’s unique
Some are symmetrical
While others oblique
Some are transparent
While others opaque
Some come fully equipped
Others are less fortunate
Each ocean wave is distinct
A variety of breaks
Every child is a winner
God makes no mistakes
Angels aren’t just in heaven
There are angels all around
Patti was the best example
Of this that can be found

You just might hear Patti say
Dry those tears and make a happy face
It’s important to continue her work at A Starting Place Every angel must one day take flight
And now it’s Patti’s turn at last
She shared her love, knowledge and insight
